Bought this to use with my new Dell internet Book. actually plug and play. laptop recognized the drive immediately and was able to use in seconds. Used the drive to put in Microsoft workplace 2010. Note: I don't suggest running workplace on a internet Book, however that has nothing to try and do with the standard or functions of the DVD drive. I normally don't award five stars unless the item exceeds my expectations. The DVD drive will everything it's alleged to do and was an honest price. Arrived each day before the estimated deliver date.
I particularly like that it worked fine while not an external power provide, however undecided that applies to use with some older computers.
